MULTAN: Mufti Abdul Qavi claimed on Monday that he had answered all questions of the police and that they had given him a clean chit.
According to details, Mufti Qavi, who was sent a fourteen-point questionnaire by the police a couple of days ago pertaining to the death of model and social media personality Qandeel Baloch, said that he had answered all questions and had been given a clean chit by the police. Qavi claimed that police had told him that the murder investigation of Qandeel Baloch had been completed.
Mufti Abdul Qavi said that both Qandeel Baloch and her mother had put forth false allegations against him but he had decided to forgive them both. Qavi also said that he did not support honour killing and neither did Islam approve of it.
Qandeel Baloch was a controversial and prominent social media personality in Pakistan. A couple of weeks after her video clip and pictures with Mufti Abdul Qavi emerged on social media showcasing the two had met in private, Qandeel Baloch was strangled to death. Although her brother Waseem had confessed to killing Qandeel Baloch, police had decided to include Mufti Abdul Qavi in the murder investigation of the model.
