MATIARI: Punjab Chief Minister and PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday said that the Sindh government has failed to develop the province and that if PML-N is elected to power, the party will turn Sindh into Punjab.
“Asif Zardari has not provided employment opportunities to people, has not brought development and prosperity in the region. The people of Sindh do not deserve this. If you vote for us, we will turn Sindh into Punjab,” Shehbaz said while addressing a rally in Matiari.
Shehbaz continued: “In comparison to Sindh, Punjab has seen a great degree of development. We have provided scholarships to the underprivileged and orphans. We established a network of Danish schools, while we have also constructed hospitals, which provide top-degree medical facilities to residents.”
Continuing his criticism of PPP co-chief Asif Ali Zardari, Shehbaz said that Zardari often says ‘Marsoon Marsoon Sindh na Deso (Will die, but won’t let Sindh go,’ but instead, he should say ‘Marsoon Marsoon Kam na Karsun (Will die, but won’t work).‘
“Zardari has sent millions of dollars abroad and now preaches that he will make the country corruption free,” Shehbaz added.
Punjab CM further said that during PPP’s reign, Sindh suffered from prolonged load-shedding and that it was the PML-N government which took over and kept the situation under control.
“If you give us a chance, we will eliminate load-shedding from every corner of the country and make Sindh the most developed province of the country,” he claimed.
